A must-see for horticulture-lovers, Birmingham Botanical Gardens showcase over 3,000 different plant varieties on 67 rambling acres. Specialty gardens include a wildflower garden, a camellia garden, a beautiful herb terrace, a fern glade, a rhododendron garden and a vegetable garden among others. Accented with sculpture, lily ponds, alluring bridges and serene walkways, the gardens also offer a library, an auditorium and a plant information center, as well as a charming cafe. It is located ten minutes southeast of downtown in beautiful Lane Park.
