Stay Away

This is probably the worst managed Credit Union in the whole Birmingham area. I was a member of MSCU for several years, before finally getting fed up with the constant problems that I encountered. Just making simple transactions seemed to be a problem for their staff on most days. I finally figured out that most of the problems had to do with a very high employee turnover rate at the Credit Union. This was not something that occured at only one branch. I went to several branches and had similiar problems at all the branches. It seemed like every week someone at the credit union either quit, was fired, or something, because as soon as I started to learn an employees name, they were gone. It's very troubling to go into a financial institution and the employees not know how to perform simple banking tasks. To me, it seems like their upper management is focusing on sales more than they are on teaching the employees how to actually do their jobs. They don't know anything about banking or finance, but you better believe they were trying to sell me anything they could everytime I walked in. Then I would see them writing my name down afterwards, as if they were keeping track of how many people they tried to sell something to. This happened almost everytime I went in there. If I wanted to be sold something everytime I went to make a deposit, then I would have stayed at a bank. I moved to another local Credit Union and have not had any of these problems. This Credit Union seems to have forgotten what it means to be a Credit Union.
